Our company + crew

Built here.
Building forward.

Meet the employees, leaders, and field teams who bring three decades of local knowledge and accountability to complex work.

The story

A Charlotte company.
A regional force.

Founded in Charlotte in 1994, R.J. Leeper Construction built its reputation by doing difficult work well, investing in relationships, and taking responsibility for the result.

Our work has grown with the region—from schools and cultural landmarks to aviation, healthcare, research, sports, and civic infrastructure. In 2021, acquisition by Bright Hope Construction, LLC opened the next chapter: broader capabilities, stronger self-perform teams, and an expanded presence in Raleigh and Wilmington.

Today, Leeper Construction is recognized as Charlotte's largest Black-owned company. The recognition matters. The responsibility behind it matters more: building opportunity, strengthening the construction workforce, and delivering work that serves communities for decades.
