CPCC – Library and Student Success Center
The new Library & Student Success Center at Central Piedmont Community College is a 182,650 SF 3- & 4-story building on the Main Campus near Uptown Charlotte. Leeper Construction has joint ventured with Rodgers as Construction Manager Agent for the college on this project.
This is a replacement building for 2 older buildings on the campus which no longer were able to support the needs of the growing campus. Spaces within the new building will include a 450-seat theater, library spaces, art gallery, student services & support, & food service, along with multiple huddle/study rooms & a few classrooms for student use. A Collaborative Stair will be the main focal point within the building & will allow for student interaction & gathering, while several outdoor terraces/balconies will provide unique activity & study spaces. The building is anticipated to open for staff & student use in Summer 2022.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport
- Central Energy Plant
- Terminal Lobby Expansion
Construction of the Central Energy Plant began in January 2020 in the back of the Daily North Parking Lot. It’s purpose is to supply hot and cold water and electricity to the new terminal by way of the Utility Corridor which is still under construction.
The Terminal Lobby Expansion consists of an expansion to the North of the existing terminal lobby at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The expansion will create additional space for security lanes, ticketing, and baggage claim areas, as well as increased circulation space in the lobby. A canopy will be added over the new 8 lane elevated roadway in front of the terminal Lobby.
